When you see Slipknot live it is an experience you will never forget. The first time I saw them they were a little band. This was back in the year 2000. It was summer and they were on the bill at Live 105’s BFD in Mountain View. They were the last act on the metal stage that day and I will never forget how amazing they were. The crowd was intense and the drums were loud. The guitar riffs shredded my ear drums and that voice was haunting my ears. Slipknot is one of the greatest heavy metal bands there ever was.

Fast forward to 2015 and I got to see Slipknot again! Totally stoked to see them, even if it did take 15 years – almost to the day. They are a band like no other and their skills at their respective instruments is unmatched. They are professionals and put on a great show. Obviously, they are the headliners now. The day started with a badn I had never heard of and never saw. I was way too busy getting my buzz on in the parking lot. Next up was Bullet for my Valentine. Great band as well. After BFMV was the all mighty Lamb of God. These guys are amazing too and have a great stage presence. Punk rockers and metal heads don’t really get a long but I think a lot of them like the other genre of music more than they care to admit. Case and point… Randy, lead singer for Lamb of God, is a huge fan of punk rock and even shouted out some OG punk rockers from SF during the show. Again, what a night. Lamb of God and Slipknot were an amazing site to see.
